Control panel : Digital control panel with fully automatic synronising load sharing etc. Full comprehensive readouts for all electrical items, Volts,Amps, Frequency KVA, KW, Power Factor, KW Hours etc.

Units also have comprehensive readouts for all engine readouts with relevant automatic protection shutdowns. Oil pressure, engine temp, overspeed, oil temp, low water level etc etc.

The control panel incorporates a Merlin Gerin air circuit breaker for alternator protection and load output.

Note the units are rated at 0.89 power factor if the load was industry standard 0.8 you could rate the units at 1875KVA ( this is the max the Stamford alternator will give.

General:
The units were installed at national grid stations and used for Peak Lopping but the increase in Fuel Cost has made them uneconomic. 8 units are available and the hours run vary between 6652 and 7454.

Each unit is installed in an acoustic weatherproof container which reduces the noise level to better than 85DBA at 1 metre. The Container is complete with inlet/outlet attenuators, full internal lighting, two personnel access doors and roof mounted twin residential exhaust silencers. Motorized louvers are supplied on the air inlet

The units are self contained easily transportable and the engine is also fitted with an automatic lube oil make up system with top up tank.

With each unit is supplied a Merlin Gerin 2MVA 415/11,000 volts step up transformer suitable for outdoor mounting.
